(hereinafter referred to as the “Controller”)
for the sale of goods through the online store operated via nl-elektro.cz named New Line Electro.
Protecting personal data is very important to us. The aim of this document is to inform you about all information related to the processing of your personal data when using the online store within Kaufland Marketplace. We recommend that you read this personal data processing policy. If you have any further questions regarding the processing of your personal data, please contact us at info@nlelektro.cz.
Definitions. For better clarity and orientation, terms frequently used in this personal data processing policy are defined:
- Online Store: the online store operated by the Controller named New Line Electro via nl-elektro.cz.
- GDPR: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
- Personal Data: any information about a User that can directly or indirectly identify them.
- User: natural person to whom the Personal Data relates, most often it will be a customer or potential customer, also referred to as “you”.
- Processor: performs activities related to the processing of Personal Data under a contract or other authorization for the Controller.
Basic Information
Your Personal Data is collected via Kaufland Marketplace and/or directly by us. In both cases, we may act as data controllers. If your Personal Data is processed on Kaufland Marketplace, please read their Privacy Policy (nl-elektro.cz).
We process the following Personal Data about you:
- Name and surname, contact details (especially email, phone number), address;
- Billing information and bank details (information necessary for accounting);
- Information you provide in communication with us (especially your questions and answers to your inquiries, communication with you).
We do not process special categories of Personal Data.
For What Purpose Do We Process Personal Data and What Is the Reason for Processing
2.1 Fulfillment of Contractual Relationship and Related Legal Obligations.
The reason for processing Personal Data is the fulfillment of the purchase agreement and related obligations (delivering goods, keeping accounts, handling complaints, or if you exercise the right to return goods within the statutory period). We will process your name and surname, contact details (home address and delivery address, email, and phone number), and possibly other billing information. Personal Data is processed for the duration of the contractual relationship and subsequently for 4 years after its termination (we have an interest in retaining some Personal Data related to the purchase agreement to protect our interests). By law, we are obliged to archive accounting and tax documents. The retention period for this data can be up to 10 years from the end of the tax period in which the fulfillment occurred. If necessary for delivery and payment purposes, Personal Data collected by us will be passed on to the authorized transport company or authorized credit institution.
2.2 Card Payment.
If you provide us with your card details, we do not have access to complete information. We only know that you are paying by card, and the card details are processed by the recipients of this data who process the payment for us.
2.3 Order Processing.
To fulfill your order, we also collaborate with other service providers (carriers and others) who assist us in fulfilling concluded contracts. We forward your information to these partners only for the purpose of fulfilling obligations from the purchase agreement.
2.4 Communication with Customer Support, Complaints, or Other Inquiries.
If you have contacted us, we process your Personal Data based on your consent for the purpose of handling the inquiry or complaint. We may process the following Personal Data about you: name, surname, phone number, email, order details. Closed inquiries and complaints from customer support are regularly deleted, but no later than 4 years after the inquiry or complaint is resolved.
2.5 Reviews.
Our customers’ feedback is important to us. We will publish reviews if you give us consent (you provide a review for certain goods or services). We may process the following Personal Data about you: name, surname, email, order details. With your explicit consent, we will also process photographs and Personal Data that are part of the review text. Reviews are stored until the withdrawal of your consent, but no longer than 5 years.
2.6 Customer Evaluations.
You can share your purchase experience and rate individual goods. To evaluate your feedback regarding purchased goods, we may use other Processors.
2.7 Legal Obligations.
Personal Data may be disclosed to third parties if required by law or in response to legal requests from public authorities or courts in legal disputes apart from the Processors listed below.
2.8 Age Restriction.
In case of goods subject to age restrictions, we verify whether you have reached the required minimum age under applicable legal regulations. For this purpose, we use an identification service that allows us to verify your age.
2.9 Digital Products.
If it is necessary to update goods with digital elements or digital products, we process the data you provided during the order.
Communication
3.1 Emails We May Send
In the course of selling our goods or services, we may send emails to customers concerning:
- Delivery notifications, delivery date updates
- Tax documents, invoices
- Provision of return labels.
Processors
Your Personal Data may be forwarded to our business partners (Processors) or other third parties if required by law.
We only use verified Processors with whom we have a written agreement, and who provide at least the same guarantees as we do for you. These are only Processors from the European Union, or from countries declared and recognized as safe, or from countries with which we have standard contractual clauses in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR, and who provide a comparable level of protection for your Personal Data as in the case of applying GDPR and Czech legal regulations. All these Processors are bound by confidentiality and may not use the provided Personal Data for any purpose other than those we have enabled according to these policies.

What Are Your Rights?
Where to contact us? Write us an email at info@nlelektro.cz, or to the address of our headquarters.
When will we handle it? We will respond to you no later than within one month. If providing information threatens the privacy of other people, or if it is inappropriate due to risks or costs, we may not be able to comply. In the case of repeated requests, the controller may charge a reasonable fee for copies of Personal Data.
- Right of access. Confirmation of whether we process your Personal Data. Information about the purposes of processing, categories of Personal Data, recipients who have access to them, processing time, existence of the right to request from the controller the exercise of one of the rights listed below. Provided that the rights and freedoms of other people are not adversely affected.
- Right to rectification. Request the correction of inaccurate Personal Data.
- Right to erasure. If there is no other reason to process this data further, we will delete or completely anonymize the data you requested.
- Right to restrict processing. If you believe we are processing data incorrectly – whether it be for reasons of processing or its scope, please let us know.
- Right to notification of correction, erasure, or restriction of processing. Should you contact us with a request, we will inform you of the outcome unless it is impossible (e.g., the email address you contacted us from no longer works).
- Right to data portability. We can provide your data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, machine-readable format, to another controller upon your request.
- Right to object. If we process your data for legitimate interests (e.g., sending newsletters). It is up to us to demonstrate our legitimate interest, and if we agree with you, we will stop the processing.
- Right to withdraw consent. If you have changed your mind, please write to us. Processing for marketing and business purposes can be withdrawn entirely at any time.
- Automated individual decision-making, including profiling. You have the right not to be subject to any decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which would have legal effects on you or similarly significantly affect you. We respect your rights; therefore, we do not perform profiling.
Conclusion
